Our Sustainable Knitwear Journey
From Chile and Peru to Vancouver, from the South to the North of America, the West Coast along the Pacific Ocean has been our family’s home for more than a decade. Ahblo knitwear is a tribute to that journey.
We value ethical production, safe working conditions, and traditional techniques. All of our cozy fair trade alpaca clothing is designed in Vancouver, Canada and manufactured in Peru by local artisans who preserve, day to day, the pre-Inca traditions linked to alpaca fibres.
We are committed to sustainability and keeping our supply chain within the West Coast.

Our Natural Dyes
All our baby alpaca wool pieces are dyed with natural colorants derived from plants, or minerals. Following a traditional technique, we treat flowers and other vegetables including the Tarwi flower, beetroots, purple corns, achiotes, molles, chilcas, and eucalyptus, to obtain colors for our alpaca sweaters and accessories.
By choosing to color our alpaca fibers the natural way, we eliminate the need for harsh synthetic dyes that can be toxic to the environment. This not only reduces pollution but also minimizes the use of water and energy in the dyeing process.
Each plant and mineral used in our dyeing process has its own unique properties and colors. This means that each garment we create is one-of-a-kind. This gives our customers the opportunity to own something truly unique and special.
